Residence permit in Georgia: grounds, documents and timelines

• 01Residence permit based on an IE / entrepreneurship — 800 ₾;
• 02based on employment — 800 ₾;
• 03based on property — 900 ₾ (property worth $150,000 or more — from 1 March 2026);
• 04based on family reunification — 700 ₾.

Billed separately: temporary address registration — 600 ₾ a year, police clearance certificate — $500, property appraisal — 500 ₾.

State review takes 30 calendar days; expedited review — 20 or 10. The Public Service Development Agency’s duty is 300 ₾ for 30 days, 450 ₾ for 20, 600 ₾ for 10; it is paid against a receipt and appears in the quote as a separate line. Our fee by ground is 700 to 900 ₾: choosing the ground, the documents, the translations and accompaniment to the decision.

For the property-based permit, a $150,000 threshold applies from 1 March 2026: the market value must be confirmed by a certified appraiser of an accredited body — the cadastral or contract price is not used. We arrange the appraisal — 500 ₾. If you bought at the previous $100,000 threshold, we go through the renewal conditions at the consultation.

For the IE / entrepreneurship permit, the ground is an active business in Georgia (the country) — if you have no IE (Individual Entrepreneur) yet, we register one in 1–2 business days. For the employment permit, from 1 March 2026 you additionally need the granted right to work and an employer with confirmed turnover of 50,000 ₾ per foreign employee. We verify these conditions before filing, so the duty is not wasted.
